The kitchen is where our everyday conversations take place, and where people share their hopes, fears, and aspirations. By combining the traditional kitchen table discussion with modern video calling technology, we aim to increase engagement and voter turnout by supporting the examination of political issues of the day in the way politics is relevant way to people’s daily lives.

We want to emphasize that every conversation counts and that by participating in these discussions and exercising their right to vote, individuals can have a say in the issues that matter most to them. We aim to demonstrate that our collective kitchen tables are shaping politics and all these concerns have become a movement.

Our Goals

In Scranton, people come together and really talk with each other around the kitchen table. It’s how a young Joe Biden first developed his passion for public service by listening to his grandfather’s spirited yet respectful political discussions.

Polarization and disconnection dominate today’s political landscape. Many voters feel unheard and disengaged from the political process. At the same time, substantive cross-aisle dialogue focused on finding common ground has become increasingly rare.

We aim to invite and host those discussions and we hope you will join us and invite us into your discussions.
