Behind the Scenes of Our Recording Sessions!

Hello, neighbors!

We're thrilled to give you a sneak peek into how we're setting up to bring you the voices and conversations that matter, right from our kitchen table.

We're not Hollywood pros, just your friendly neighbors trying to make this work, and we hope you'll have as much fun watching as we're having creating it!

Just figured I would share the set up. It is pretty simple.

First things first, we've got our cameras all set up.

• Iphone - on a tripod insta360 (tip from UnBox Therapy)

• Laptop - zoom.

• Small 4k camera

The videos go up into a Google Drive. Cam1, Cam2, Cam3. We generate a script of the interviews using Descript.ai ( very cool) and drop that into a google doc in the same folder with the interviews for some volunteers to highlight good clips, stuff to cut, and messy language.

The volunteer editors take it from there for clipping and production. Then the posts go live with episodes and social clips for outreach.

It is a bit geeky of a post but seemed like I kept talking with folks about is so … enjoy.

So, get ready to pull up a chair and join the conversation. We'll be discussing everything from local issues to family values, and we'll make sure to keep it real, just like we do at our own kitchen tables.
